• most verbs: +-ing work —► working sleep —► sleeping
• verbs ending in -e: ($ + -ing make —► making hope —>■ hoping
• -ie changes to y + -ing lie —>- lying

In some answers, both contracted forms (for example I'm, don't) and full PRESENT TENSES 23
